Question:  Is zinc toxicity the only cause of neuropathy?

Answer:  No, there are other causes in addition too much zinc.  If you have neuropathy, this means that you have suffered some degree of damage to your peripheral nervous system (the nerves outside the brain and spinal column).  Zinc toxicity, or zinc overload, is certainly one well-known cause, but there are others.  Neuropathy can result from a traumatic injury, from an infection, or from certain illnesses, most notably diabetes.  If you believe your neuropathy may be the result of denture cream use, there are simple medical tests available to help you determine whether the denture cream, or some other factor, is at fault.
